Simple Delicious Recipes
This rosé spritzer is a simple, light and refreshing cocktail that is perfect for summer. It is a delicious mix of rose wine grenadine and soda water.
Hot summer days in the garden call for a light refreshing cocktail. That’s where this rosé spritzer comes in.
The ingredients you will need are:
Rosé Wine– Use your favourite botte of rosé. Not an expensive one though, but one good enough to drink on it’s own. Make sure the rosé is chilled.
Grenadine– A splash of grenadine sweetens the cocktail. You can use Chambord for a slightly stronger spritzer.
Ice: Add in ice to keep your cocktail nice and cold.
Soda Water: For that fizz.
Strawberries: Garnish your spritzer with sliced fresh strawberries. You can use raspberries and blackberries as well.
The type of rosé to use is down to personal preference. I prefer a sweeter cocktail so opt for a moderately sweet wine like the White Zinfandel.
If you prefer a less sweet cocktail, then opt for a dry rosé wine.
You don’t need an expensive rosé when making this cocktail. Choose a mid range rose you enjoy drinking on it’s own as that will guarantee a delicious cocktail.
Pour an ounce of grenadine syrup into a glass. Fill the glass about halfway with ice. Grab a bottle of chilled rosé wine and pour over the ice. Mix to combine the grenadine and wine. Top with soda water and finally add in sliced strawberries.
The answer is yes. Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio or Moscato are great wines to make the spritzer with.
