The ultimate chocolatey hot chocolate. Make this indulgent comforting drink using dark chocolate, white chocolate, vanilla syrup, milk and double cream.
100grams (3.5 ounces ) milk or dark chocolate, chopped
100grams (3.5 ounces ) white chocolate, chopped
480ml(2 cups) full fat or semi skimmed milk
120ml (½ cup) double cream
60ml(¼ cup) vanilla syrup
Instructions
Stir together chopped milk or dark chocolate, white chocolate and milk in a saucepan. Cook over low to medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the hot chocolate comes to a simmer. (Do not let it come to a boil.)
Remove from heat and serve immediately. Top with whipped cream or marshmallows if desired.
Notes
This recipe can be made with whatever kind of milk you like.
