- 5 mint leaves
- 1 lime, quartered
- 4 fresh strawberries, chopped
- 30 ml (1 ounce) grenadine
- 30 ml lime juice
- 60 ml ( 2 ounces) vodka
- soda water
- mint sprigs for garnish
In 2 highball glass, muddle together mint leaves, lime wedges and strawberries to release juices and oils.
Stir in lime juice, vodka and grenadine. Fill glasses with crushed ice and top with soda water.

You don't need a fancy blender to crush ice. I use a Lewis Bag and a mallet (*affiliate link). All you do is place the ice in the bag, seal and smash to your heart's desire.
To make a simple syrup, add equal amounts of sugar and water to a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Leave to cool before using. The syrup can be stored in the fridge for up 30 days.
